Wacom Chapter 4 (FY2025~FY2028)
Wacom's origin lies in supporting the act of drawing—in anime, manga, design, and more. Moreover by empowering the act of writing in everyday work and learning, we have grown steadily over time. In Chapter 4, we will continue to explore the ultimate experiences in drawing and writing, while also pioneering entirely new and broader forms of “Inking (kaku)”. That includes writing to communicate, drawing to connect, sketching to reflect our inner selves, and inking to live more humanely.

Circular Value Flow Map
This value cycle map illustrates how, based on our four strategic axes, we create and deliver value. Starting from communities, we develop use cases (①), translate them—through Wacom’s technology innovation (②)—into solutions (③), and, enabled by our new organizational structure (④), deliver value back to communities as a continuous, circular flow. We are evolving beyond products and technologies into an instrument craftsman that provides holistic inking experiences across all forms of kaku (inking).
1Community/Use-case
Wacom deeply understands the use cases within each community and discovers new sources of value by building relationships as a member of those communities and growing together with them.
To create new use cases, we will focus on the four domains we have identified as priority areas and drive our initiatives accordingly.
In addition, in new fields, we will actively promote co-development with partner companies to expand opportunities for value creation.
2Wacom Technology
The source of Wacom’s value lies in the technological capabilities we have cultivated over more than 40 years. The elemental technologies refined in Chapters 2 and 3, along with our new core technologies, will be integrated in Chapter 4 to drive further value creation.
In addition to our existing technologies, we will introduce new pen technologies and provide new core value—including AI, security, and XR—by integrating the latest UX/UI technologies into a unified pen experience. These technological advancements are not pursued by Wacom alone but are driven through collaboration with partners within our co-creation communities.
3Solution Portfolio
Wacom’s solution portfolio is evolving to encompass three layers: finished products offered under the Wacom brand, technology modules incorporated into partner companies’ products, and a new platform that integrates hardware, software, and services around specific use cases. These are further supported by our digital ink services, which span the entire portfolio. By combining these elements in alignment with customer and community use cases, we aim to deliver differentiated and sustainable value.
4New value delivery framework
We have established a new “Partner & Co-creation” unit to drive co-creation centered on our platform, in addition to our traditional Technology Solutions and Branded Products businesses. These three units have been integrated into the “Inking Experience Support Group.” By transitioning to a flexible, cross functional structure that operates under a shared mission, we aim to create use cases originating from our communities and deliver new experience value more rapidly.
While pursuing solid economic growth, we also seek to achieve a more profound, meaningful growth: one shared with users, partners, customers, and our team members—growth not defined by metrics alone.
We will carry forward the profound human act of “kaku (inking),” practiced for over 50,000 years, into the next 50,000 years.
